STUDENTS AND OTHER CLIENTS
Students
A significant number of students, for various reasons, often resort to language courses outside the university in order to improve the practicality of their learning. Many times, they take language courses to prepare for an exam or to apply for a bilingual position. These exam preparation courses are available to students but also to other categories of VLT customers. These are courses adapted to the type of exam in preparation and which meet the prerequisites in terms of the knowledge necessary to take the exam. More emphasis will be placed on the disciplines of speaking, grammar, listening and reading, depending on the requirements for passing the exam. Programs reserved to students are affordable and allow them to invest in several weeks or even months of preparation. Our flexibility allows students to schedule their lessons at times that suit them best. If the available language course schedules do not match your schedule, VLT can work with you to adjust to your availability. Graduate students seeking their first job in a government agency or applying for bilingual jobs can also prepare by taking second language courses.
Other clients
Stay-at-home parents
Stay-at-home parents, that is to say parents who stay temporarily or permanently at home to raise their children and help them with their homework, may decide to take foreign language, second language courses for this specific purpose (support their children's studies). But it could also be for their own benefit, in order to enrich their general knowledge or even in the perspective of a future job if they are preparing to return to active (professional) life.
Retirees/Seniors
Retirees are also among the non-professional clients who request our services for foreign language courses, second language. Retirees are generally the population group most available for extra-professional activities. And among the activities they choose to pursue to stay active, there are foreign language classes. Some studies point out that learning foreign languages not only makes you smarter, it is an intellectual activity that keeps the brain active and prevents diseases of old age like Alzheimer, for example. For these two groups, stay-at-home parents and retirees, the course fees are affordable given their status and the course programming can be ajusted to their schedule.
